Stubborn?
Funny how the Lord can use simple or funny things in our lives to get our attention. We have 2 little chihuahua mix dogs both have very big ears. One of them "Buttonz" has gotten very stubborn lately. I will call her, even almost in front of her and she acts like she doesn't hear me. So I thought she was going deaf. But as it turns out nope, she has just been ignoring me. She's become stubborn. So it hit me. Have we become stubborn in our walk with the Lord? Have we been ignoring the words the Lord has been speaking to us over and over again? Are we ignoring his call for us? These are questions to ask ourselves. Is there something that the Lord has asked you to do or placed on your heart that you refuse to do? Maybe it's to give up something or maybe a task the Lord has placed on your heart to do. Or just forgiving someone. Or maybe it's fear holding you back. Whatever it is that the Lord has been telling or calling you to do, Do it! Just like this blog post. It has taken me several weeks to post it. LOL Let's not be like Jonah and ignore the call or direction the Lord has asked of us. Or like Balaam who stubbornly resisted the Lord's way. But let us go forward in His quest knowing that he has us in the palm of His hand and that we are the apple of His eye.

Be Anxious for Nothing You Haven't Heard
Well, we've all heard it over and over again. Be anxious for nothing. Phil 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." This scripture goes much deeper then just not to be anxious. I've learned in the pass when I'm anxious, I make stupid mistakes and later regret. You see when you are anxious you can't hear that small still voice, the voice of the Lord.
When we are anxious that is usually when we pray to God for help. Especially when we are in a desperate state in our lives, as I was last week. Had I not turned my thoughts off of desperation and anxiousness, it could have cost me a ton of money and even more heartache. Not just once, but twice. This didn't come easy, turning my thoughts off and listening for the Lords voice. This is something that is to be put into practice. Learning to petition and thank the Lord and then WAIT to hear from the Lord. When in-fact most of us pray and then act on our own behalf thinking that it's the Lords way. Like I've done to many times. And then we say after it's all said and done with. Why Lord? Where were you Lord? How come you didn't answer my prayer? When in-fact we didn't linger longer or quiet our thoughts long enough for the Lord to speak and give direction. Or perhaps we heard his voice but refused to except it as an answer.
Remember Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. So from this day forward make it a practice to wait upon the Lord and to listen for that small still voice. It could save you heartache, money and/or shame.

GO PATRIOTS!!!
It's Super Bowl Sunday today and I'm rooting for the Patriots to win. So I was thinking of the word Patriots and thought I'd look it up in the dictionary. Here is the difinition for Patriot: One who loves his or her country and supports its authority and interests. Then goes on to say the contention that true patriots will be willing to do anything for their country. My question is are you a Patriot? Do you really love this country enough to Pray for it? To take a stand for what our Forefathers stood on? which was the word of God. Yes I know that it's hard to believe but it was the word of God. That is what made this country so great, and so free. By standing on the word of God is one of the greatest things that has made this country so great. Not only is it God's grace and mercy that has set us free from sin but it had set this country free. You see where there is grace and mercy there is love. The best way you can show your true Patriotism this very day is to Pray and stand on the word of God. Don't let go of hope for this great nation to continue on as being just that...Great. America needs True Patriots. Are you one? Will you be one?
Remember: Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance. Psalm 33:12

Its a New Year
Happy New Year everyone! It's always nice to start fresh isn't it? Ahhh, but with Christ all things are made new. Remember your sins have been forgiven for those of you who are in Christ. So each year, each day and each minute is a new beginning through his grace and mercy. Lets make this year truly a year for the Lord. Give him all you got, including your worries. And watch him do some mighty things in your life.
Blessings to you through the year and beyond.

His Love
Oh the comfort we feel being in the Savior's arms. And the Peace we get being at Jesus' feet. May you find Rest, Peace and Love this Christmas knowing that our Father has you in the palm of His hand. And knowing the purpose of sending his son into the world was all because He loves you.
Merry Christmas

As White as Snow
Well I know it's been awhile since I've written. Can't really give an excuse. But, I'm back. Which reminds me of a story of a lost sheep that was once in Jesus' fold and was once walking strong and then wandered away. And Jesus says, Come back, Come to me. I'm still here for you, waiting and looking for you. In Isaiah 1:18 it says, "Come now, let's settle this," says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.
What a joy it is to be in the shepard's arms and be in his care. In Luke 15:2-6 it says, So Jesus told them this story: “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.'
Are you feeling lost and tired of wandering without your shepard? Has it been awhile since you talked and walked with the Lord? Come back to your master and your loving fold. Find a place to go and worship and connect with believers. Cry out to your Lord. He's been searching for you. He's waiting for you with loving open arms.

Hope
Well, I don't need to tell anyone that our country is in trouble. Unless you've been living under a rock. As some people right now may be feeling some dispair about our country, our future, our children's future and the list goes on. I just wanted to remind us all of the word HOPE. As the scripture says in Psalm 131:3 "O Israel, put your hope in the Lord now and always." I would say, putting our name "America" in there. "O America, put your hope in the Lord now and always. Let's humble ourself unto the Lord, get on our knees daily and pray and keep praying. Prayer is our greatest weapon.
As I read these scriptures, I can't help myself but to think of America saying these words to God.
As a deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him? Day and night I have only tears for food, while my enemies continually taunt me, saying, "Where is this God of yours?" My heart is breaking as I remember how it used to be: I walked among the crowds of worshipers, leading a great procession to the house of God, singing for joy and giving thanks amid the sound of a great celebration! Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again my Savior and my God! Psalm 42:1-5
I believe in my heart that God does and will continue to bless America. As long as we Keep praying saints.
In His grip and care.
